The twelfth edition of TRAKO International Railway Fair is already history. This year, NEWAG Group had a stand in Hall A at AMBER EXPO Centre in Gdańsk and it presented two rail vehicles on the tracks: IMPULS II EMU and Griffin electric locomotive.
The IMPULS II electric multiple unit has been built for FSE from Bari — an Italian operator. IMPULS II stems from the family of IMPULS vehicles of the first series and it was developed based on the experience NEWAG S.A. has gained during their production and in collaboration with our Clients. IMPULS II is based on, among other, a generation of vehicles Impuls 36WEa, 31WE and 45WE which comply with the Commission Regulations of the European Union issued in 2014, namely TSI LOC&PAS, TSI SRT, TSI NOI, TSI PRM and TSI CCS and they hold WE certificates issued by the Polish Railway Institute for the Rolling Stock subsystem.
The GRIFFIN electric locomotive which was presented at TRAKO is the second vehicle manufactured for Lotos Kolej under an agreement for the supply of five locomotives concluded in 2015. According to the agreement, five Griffin electric locomotives will be leased including maintenance services for the period of seven years, which can be extended. All the ordered locomotives will be delivered in 2017.
NEWAG’s stand at the fair attracted a lot of attention, which was proved by the big number of meetings and visits.
