On Sunday, 15th December, 2013, the first, high-comfort, three-section IMPULS manufactured at NEWAG S.A. started its regular journey servicing the route Rzeszów-Przemyśl.
The new rail vehicle, named after Rev. Cardinal Adam Kozłowiecki, was officially handed over to Przewozy Regionalne by Władysław Ortyl, the Marshal of Podkarpackie Province and Zbigniew Konieczek, President and CEO of NEWAG S.A. on Friday 13th December at 1 p.m.
Mr Ortyl, while handing over the vehicle to Przewozy Regionalne, emphasised that this was a modern, comfortable and eco-friendly means of transport. We are investing in the new rolling stock in order to improve the comfort of travelling. Soon, six more similar trains will be servicing railway routes in our Province, said Marshal Ortyl.
Marshal Ortyl, you displayed great wisdom while preparing the technical specifications for this order, said Mr Konieczek. You have ordered a high quality train which features amenities rarely seen on Polish railway tracks.
Impuls 36 WE is the first three-section electric multiple unit manufactured by NEWAG S.A. It is one of the most comfortable trains in Poland. It is fitted with seats with leather-covered armrests and headrests. The hermetically-sealed retention tank toilet is equipped with a sink with photoelectric sensor and an electric hand dryer.
